Lake Turano
Formed by the homonymous river blocked by the dam built in 1939 in Posticciola, Lake Turano is an important hydroelectric basin, connected to Lake Salto by a tunnel, capable to feed the nearby Cotilia power plant. It stands at an elevation of 536 m. and extends for about 10 km. at the foot of Mount Navegna. The basin is characterized by the transparency of its waters, but also by the presence of ancient castles and the lovely villages of Colle di Tora and Castel di Tora.
